The Online PR Podcast with Mark Polson of Code Greene and Pete Codella of Codella Marketing this week focuses exclusively on creating an online newsroom. Pete and Mark talk about the role of media relations in the field of public relations, how it used to work and how it has changed because of the Internet.
They review features and benefits to maintaining a social media newsroom with an organization’s latest news releases, press kits, media hits, links to important resources and streams of activity in social media.
Mark and Pete talk about different strategies behind the location of your newsroom, whether it’s part of a main website (i.e., YourURL.com/newsroom), a subdomain of the site that’s hosted on a different server (News.YourURL.com), or an altogether different domain and host (YourURLNews.com).
An online newsroom as a microsite is an important tool in the digital public relations toolkit – one that provides for ‘always on’ access for journalists and benefits organizations from an online search perspective.

Hi it is me again, Jack Worthington. I still haven't found any examples of any Business Wire NewsHQ web sites and it has now been nearly a year since they've launched. I noticed that you list them first (after your company) in your list of Online Newsroom providers, yet they have no clients and you are aware of no clients. Seems weird?

Thank you for your posting. Do you have any examples of a Business Wire NewsHQ online newsroom? I haven't been able to find any clients using their service.
