OPRP Episode 036 – TweetDeck enhancements, top 10 Facebook pages – 05.21.10

The Online PR Podcast Episode 36 with Pete Codella of Codella Marketing and Mark Polson of Code Greene discusses two brief topics: TweetDeck and Facebook.

TweetDeck adds Foursquare, Buzz and scheduling

This week TweetDeck announced integration of Google Buzz, Foursquare and scheduled updates.

For months Pete and Mark have talked about convergence in social media.

With TweetDeck’s changes, it becomes a pretty powerful social media aggregator, listening platform and versatile social media publishing tool.

Top Facebook Pages

Based on an article published by TechCrunch, What Are The Top Brands On Facebook?, Mark and Pete review the top 10 list for Facebook pages.

Not surprisingly, many of the brands are very well-known. But surprisingly, some of them aren’t as mainstream as you might expect.

  1. Hey guys,

I tune in regularly from Scotland – hope SLC is treating you both well?

Just wanted to leave a thought because it seems everybody in the SM fishbowl raves aboutTweetdeck.

So thought I'd throw in my tuppenceworth and mention Hootsuite.

It never seems to get talked about much. It's my Twitter client of choice for multiple users across multiple accounts.

It also works with FB, LI, WP and the other main social platforms. And the latest version also integrates with Google analytics.

Personally I think it is the dog's (in case that doesn't translate in the US that is a v. good thing!) and would be interested to hear your thoughts if you reckon it might be worth a mention on a future episode.

    Cheers
